As a fellowship of believers in Jesus Christ, and messengers of God's Word and love, we serve as a beacon of light to our community.
Who are we?
We are baptized people of God.
We are sinners.
We are forgiven.
We are recipents of God's love and grace.
We are teachers, farmers, nurses, homemakers, janitors, cooks, factory workers, students, secretaries, parents, children, community members, friends, spouses, widows, divorcees, men, women, young, old, middle-aged, and much more.
We are looking forward to meeting you.
What's a Lutheran?
Lutherans are Christians whose love of God is informed by the Bible and the teachings of a man named Martin Luther. We believe that God's grace is for everyone and is a free gift. We can't earn it. We use our God-given abilities to serve each other and the world as a way of saying thank you to God for all that we have. We'd love for you to join us in serving and praising God!
St. Matthew's is a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). You can check out our national organization at our website: www.elca.org.
