Rheanna Goodrich began serving as pastor at St. Matthew’s Lutheran this past January (2018). She went to Trinity Lutheran Seminary for her MDiv and Central Michigan University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in English.
Rheanna is also blessed with an awesome family. Her husband and daughter support and encourage her in her ministry here and love to engage in sharing God’s love in their own ways. In her free time, Rheanna loves to write, knit, and spend as much time outside playing and planting as she can.
At her confirmation, she was asked to choose a life verse, which is still one of her favorites and a reminder of the need for both wisdom and hope.
“My child, eat honey, for it is good, and the drippings of the honeycomb are sweet to your taste. Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, you will find a future, and your hope will not be cut off.
One of her favorite Gospel readings, Matthew 22:37-40, forms the core of her faith and the passion of her ministry.
He said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
